Email Print RSS Facebook Twitter RSS

April 10, 2020

In light of the SCFC burn ban, which went into effect on April 7, 2020, Blacksburg Fire Chief Donovan Ford has banned all burning types in town limits, as well as our response district as a whole. "We will honor the ban and I have further banned burning in all areas of town", Chief Ford stated. He has further directed all fire personnel to extinguish any and all outdoor fires discovered. This policy will be in effect for the duration of the state burn ban.

According to state law, first time violators will be fined up to $200 for the first offense, and $500 for second and subsequent offenses.
